Hotttttt!!!!!!

It has been really hot these few days. I’m sweating even with fan blowing at me now.

Umpired A div game today and I enjoyed the game. Players were playing hard doing their best on court. There were a few naughty ones with their ill disciplines. But nothing serious.

Cycled to TP after that. Took less than half an hour to get there from Kallang. Was there quite early. Training tonight was quite fun. Especially with Peiru pulling off many funny stunts during the drills.

Ouch!!! Ankles, knees, my body are aching…

I umpired badly today. Too many influential factors.
Firstly, I have a sore trout, plus a slight cough and flu.
Second, I only had five hours of sleep because of the damn loud event that woke me up at nine this morning.
Third, my legs are still tired and sore from the umpiring and basketball game yesterday.
Froth, mentors aren’t really helping with what they say during the interval break. And taking up my time of rest and limiting my own reflection time. I would say that they were over mentoring.
Last, why does the team have to play so messy? All the turnovers, indecisive of their passes, not passing into the circle, and so many little things they did that needs my attentions.

Will I be able to have that feeling when I enjoy umpiring again???
Bladed with my colleagues yesterday morning. It was really fun. Yani thought me to blade backwards. We also did train with Yani towing us because we were tired. Thanks Yani.

It was quite fun coaching yesterday. Last day before the girls have exams and then their holiday. Will be seeing them a month later and the P6 are stepping down. I think I'll miss them.

On the train after coaching.

It was almost seven when I took this.

As for today. NSL umpiring was a little untidy. Gotta work on my calls, hand signals, positionings, and making disciplinary actions.

Went CCAB for a basketball friendly game after that. We lost again today. The chemistry was not consistent. I don't know how to actually work with the rest on the offence side.

Had dinner with the guys at Bukit Timah and went Boat Quay after that.

On the train to ITE Semei today.

Umpired a primary school game at the indoor court there. The court was great. Good cushioned flooring, good cleareance of space, high ceiling. The only thing was about the court, it looks a bit bigger than normal. Maybe it's deception of vision because of the huge space. And I was umpiring a primary school game where the palyers are only about my waist to chest level in height.

Went off to coaching after that. Had a bunch of new P4 players with me today. Lots of things to work on for them. Next time I see them will be a month later.

Had lunch at five plus after coaching and then went to TP for training. Didn't train much today.

Please tell me I’m crazy!!!

Going to finish this post and eat my Changi Village nasi lemak where I’ve bought like an hour ago cycling there and back. I’ve cycled about sixty kilometres today.

After netball at KNC, I joined some friends for dinner at Old Airport Rd. Then after dinner at eleven, just don’t feel like going home. So, I cycled to East Coast Park and then all the way to Changi Beach. I was stopped by some policeman doing their operations halfway. After that, reach the part with the long straight beside Changi Airport runway, it was a little spooky. Having the airport at one side and another side is all dark and filled with tall trees and bushes. The long straight is about six kilometres. It took me slightly over two hours from one end of ECP to Changi Beach and back. It’s pretty tiring, having stiff shoulders and rubber legs now.

I have an irritating sore trout now. Hope it gets better tomorrow.

Had umpires training tonight. Reached on time and waited for half an hour for it to start.

Cycled around after training.

Met some friends at LauPaSat. Sat with them for some food and also bought some home for dinner.

So bored. Nothing to do again tomorrow.

Going Kinabalu in two and a half weeks time. Gotta step up training now, at least some everyday.

Was umpiring A div game at Kallang earlier today. It's no joke doing two fifteen minutes quarters game. Was struggling on concentration and my runs for positioning. I wonder how I manage to do three games in a row last time.

After that cycled to East coast park and then to TP for club training. From my speedometer, the journey home from TP was only slightly over seven klick. I think I can actually cycle to TP for training more often.

Got a Halo today.

Went church tonight for service and concert after that. It was church 20th anniversary celebration. And everyone was given a free light stick.

Umpired a carnival yesterday. Then at night had a friendly basketball game. Didn't get to play much and the warm up was insufficient. I suck when I was on court. Gotta play better next week.

Lost the last game. Thought the girls can actually play better. Guess I was wrong.

So tired now. Game tonight was great. Love the last quarter when I play Keeper. I think they only put in one goal. The rest end up in my hands. Haha!!!

Busy busy busy…

I’m so looking forward to play basketball coming Sunday. A day away from netball. Thank You God!!! So Much!!!

Feels I’m gonna fall sick soon cause lack of sleep. Ahrrr… Finally, I can wake up in the afternoon tomorrow. I love you bed.

I finally get to watch a movie after some fail attempts last week. It’s an outdated local production, ‘The Leap Years’. It’s pretty nice. Stir up my feelings. Very emotional and touching I must say. Hope I have time for some other movies too.

Last game for my girls tomorrow. Finally, it’s all going to be over and back to training.

It's pouring outside now.

On the way to KNC the other day passing by Siglap.
The place gives me the feeling that I'm at Georgetown Penang.

It has been raining very regularly recently.
I loves the rain sometime. It give's me a cosy feeling when I'm at home on my bed.
Now, looking outside pouring with lightning and thunder makes me appreciate what I have even more.
I loves the monent after the rain too. Everything seems so calm and quiet, it's like a war has ended. Do you feel this way before???

Friday, April 11, 2008

Had been waking up early in the pass few days and now I’m automatically up in the morning.

I suck at Netball. I think I played very badly yesterday, especially supporting the attack. I clash with the other attackers most of the time.

Ouch!!! I didn’t stretch yesterday and now it’s like whole body so stiff and aching.

I umpired two games of the national semi final yesterday. I think I perform better when I’m relax and not thinking too much.

After that I bussed to Bedok South Secondary for my girl’s game. I alighted a bus stop earlier and walked so far to reach the school. Almost late. It wasn’t a good game for us. After the first quarter, everyone was so affected by the screaming and yelling of the supporters there. I was so irritated by them too. Just feel like slapping them upside down, front side back and inside out. We were up by five after the first quarter, then chasing by two, after third quarter down by eight, and finally lost with ten. Generally, the girls played quite alright. The flow was there and defenders were working hard defending. Girls, you just need to work on your morel to be a better player. And yesterday, plaster was used on AhZhen. Looks like I’ll never break the record of having injury every time.

And Happy International Friendship Day to all

Thursday, April 10, 2008

I didn’t break my record today.

My players are injured again. It seems to be happening to me all the time.

Rosyth P5s played in the morning. They played pretty well with many improvements, but still, we lost.

Rosyth P6s up next in the afternoon. We had to use bandages even before the game starts. One of my defender fell down tripping over another girl’s leg. And another one told me that her ankle aches because she had a slight sprain stepping on the uneven drain cover. And one more, she had a plaster on her palm that got something to do with the fence. Please be more careful girls!!!

I rushed to Hougang for their game after that. It was the start of second quarter when I got there and we were down by about ten goals. At half time, we were chasing with fifteen. I looked at them and their faces tell me that they are giving up. How??? I tried push them to fight harder for a come back but it doesn’t seems to work. The opponent pull away with four more goals in the third quarter and at the end we lost by twenty seven goal. After the third quarter, we have to get the first aid kit again. Another fall of the day.

After the juniors game, its seniors turn. They played pretty well today. We manage to secure a lead and increase it gradually through out the game. They are playing again tomorrow, hope they have a good rest tonight.

Tuesday, April 08, 2008

I’m having so much netball I think I’m going to vomit soon. All umpiring and coaching. Ahrrr…

Rosyth was trashed in their first game of the second round. It’s not that they played badly, just that the opponent is at different level.

I umpired three one sided game this morning. All the games ended with a team having zero goals. Later in the afternoon, Coral played their last game of the tournament. They played pretty badly. At half time, the rain pours and we were leading with three goals. The other school was ok we don’t play the postponed half. I think I might not be able to see those little rascals anymore. I will definitely miss them.

Went KNC after that for umpire’s training. Lucky the floor was wet and we don’t need to do sprints. We watch how we did during the weekend. I think I need to move a bit faster and also change some of my bad habits of moving. Will try it out during Nationals on Thursday.

Sunday, April 06, 2008

I’m falling sick. Sore trout, coughs… I need to be well… Long week ahead.

NSL umpiring wasn’t very good this week. Can’t get myself to concentrate and enjoy umpiring. How can I do it better? Is it the preparation work before a game?

Bought myself two pairs of cheap shoes today. Not as comfortable as my others. Think it needs some time to season.

Saturday, April 05, 2008

Rosyth coaching was quite alright today. They were pretty much able to do things without me telling them all the time now. It really makes my life so much easier as a coach.

Then I rushed to Hougang for their game at three. But as I was walking over, it started to rain. Game couldn’t start and we waited for about half an hour for it to stop. The girls played pretty well today. I managed to put in most of the sec ones to get them exposed to the intense game. We were leading with five goals and I swap in first timer in shooting in the last quarter. This has result the defenders to play even harder and making sure the opponent didn’t put in their goals. In the end, we won by only one goal. Great job everyone. I hope it’s a good exposure to everyone especially to the sec ones.

My player got injured again today. For the past few games I’m with Hougang, there was someone getting injured. Today was Huimin, the other day was Steph and Claria, then before that was Joan, and earlier was Andrea. Is it me pushing them too hard? I don’t think so. Girls, please be more careful.

Friday, April 04, 2008

Coral did quite ok today. We were down five - one after the first quarter, and at half time we caught up to seven - five. In the third quarter, we didn’t put in any goals and PLMGPS put in five to lead with seven. The rain poured down after that and we had to stop. Forth quarter is postponed to Monday. Hope the girls play like how they did in the second quarter to catch up.

NCAP lv2 exam was alright tonight. I think should be able to pass.

Morning!!!

My nap ended up to be a long sleep. Gosh! I must be really tired.

Coral is having a tough game later. Hope they perform well.

Wednesday, April 02, 2008

Both Rosyth junior and senior are in to the second round. Well done girls!!! They won both their matches today. Their performance was quite alright. There are little improvements here and there.

I’m so tired now. Test for NCAP lv2 is tomorrow. Gosh! So many things to read up. Totally no mood to read now. Maybe after nap later.

Tuesday, April 01, 2008

Good afternoon.

Yesterday was a tiring day for me. In the morning, Rosyth P5s had a game. We won, with shooters putting in only seven goals. And I’ve count the number of misses, it over thirty. What a bad game.

Hougang had game in the afternoon. There were only eight players and I’ve only two defenders. So, I put my shooter in defending and surprisingly she did pretty well. I think it’s the effort she had put in that really makes her perform. Although we’ve won, overall performance wasn’t really good. Shooters didn’t have good percentage of shoots, passes and drives by the feeders weren’t strong. As for defenders, they’ve improved, but still, a lot to work on to actually see something satisfying.

After the game, I went to KNC to umpire a friendly. I did badly with very low focus and concentration. Headache and tiredness is the cause of it. I think I shouldn’t umpire if I’m not in a good condition anymore.
