I hate it when I miss my shots. Only 71% today. Ahhrrr...

Should have got myself more ready to take the court. My movement in the circle sucks. How can I get nearer to the pole?

Overall performance on the game wasn't impresive. Many errors on foot work and miss passes. Anyway, it was fun playing. Worth the pain and aches I'm having now.

I threw my whistle on the ground while umpiring today. I guess everyone was shocked. It was a very messy game, bad conditions, I'm the only umpire doing the whole court, no one know how to play, and everyone is so aggresive. It's a game I would give money not to umpire actually. Tough!!! Anyway, it's history. I'm taking a break from umpiring in December. Finally...

Coaching this morning was great. Although didn't really complete what I've planed for them for today's training. The girls did quite ok on what I've thought them. I played in the court game for the end of training. Quite fun playing together with the sec ones. We beat the seniours. I have more hope on them for next year's zonal then the seniours. JiaYou!!!

Played in a small modified netball competition yesterday. It was great having fun and being able to be with friends on a sunday. We were champion. Beat everyone else pretty easily due to our height advantage. Anyway, the competition wasn't really important, I love the company more.

Start of a new week today. I have umpiring assignments lined up almost everyday again. Will I get bored of umpiring one day???

I have been thinking about what in my previous post. Guess I should blame myself instead of my players. As their coach, I should have prepared them better. Prepare them physically and mentally instead of just technically. I'm sorry girls... JiaYou!!! I won't give up. Please train yourselves during my absence in December.

Today proves that I’m a super lousy coach.

My girls had a friendly this morning and they were slaughtered. What can I do? Is it the way I train them are wrong? What’s the problem? Can someone tell me please?

I can only stay in Singapore till end of next week. What to train them on? Everything they do seems so weak. I don’t think I’ll be able to persuade myself to keep on enduring. I don’t want… But… I’ve spend so much time building up their basics. How can I give up? Tell me how please. HOW?

At least the sec ones didn’t let me down. They’ve at least played a rather structured game. Just need to be more aggressive and build up better passes.

I’ve asked a player to go home during training today. Am I being too cruel? I just feel that she’s wasting everyone’s time with the attitude she has. Time is precious isn’t it? Especially training. Please make an effort to do your job. If you don’t want to train, please don’t come. If you come, don’t waste your time doing rubbish.

I went to club training last night. Not many people turn up but it was fulfilling. I put in my hundred percent and I’m satisfied with my performance. At least I accomplished what I want.

Girls. How about you? Do you set little targets to accomplish? Do you push yourself to be better? Nothing is impossible…

From not knowing how to play volleyball, I can be the main spiker in my poly team in just two months. So can you. Determination, confidence and spirit are most important. And my team was the champion that year.

I hope today’s match makes you want to be better and not destroying your passion for netball.

I’m back from Malaysia. Had just come back from my brother’s wedding during the weekend today. It’s such a big occasion, bringing so many peoples together witnessing this joyous ceremony.

Touched down at Penang airport on Friday afternoon with my sisters and cousin. We had lunch at Queens Bay Mall Sakae Sushi, did some shopping and head home.

It was a busy and memorable trip filled with laughter. Reunion of family, relatives and friends. Peoples that is most important to me.

Saturday, me and my brother went to collect the wedding car and bought beverages, drinks and beers for visitors. Many distant relatives came just for the wedding today. I brought them over to the houses that had been prepared for them to spend the night. All credits to my mum cleaning and getting it ready days before. Its great being able to see them because only times like this brings peoples together. Uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. And many I don’t even know who they are and what are their names. So malu!!!

At night, we had dinner at the brides. A table was reserved for us from the groom side. Our sisters and few of our cousins came together to filled the ten seats. The banquet had to be separate because there are too many relatives and friends to be invited. We had to leave after the couple opening the champagne and toasting. It’s the customs.

After that we went home. Many of my secondary school friends are waiting for us. It has been so long since I last saw them. I think it’s about eight to ten years. It’s really fun having that reunion. Drinking, eating, chatting and joking. It brings back so many memories we had together. I love those peoples.

There are also many others at home too. My dad with his friends and uncles, cousins drinking and toasting, aunts chatting in the house, nieces, nephews and younger cousins playing. It’s such a wonderful occasion.

Sunday, wedding day. I’m the best man. We got ready, and went off to the brides at ten. Not many obstacles were put up to us. First was drinking some sour drinks. Not sure what is it but taste like vinegar. Then, dancing… Pole dancing, lucky I was the pole. And finally, singing. All of us sung together and my brother sung the ending part. Heng!!! Cause we are rushing and had to be at the restaurant at one for the banquet. Didn’t really get to talk to the brides mate cause we’re busy doing our job. Haiz…

Anyway, we manage to get the ceremony at the brides side done at eleven plus. Must thank Ah Young my cousin for keeping the ang pao and marking on it. Then back to our side, repeating the ceremony again. Praying and giving teas to elders. So many uncles, aunts and cousins. I’m all wet inside because of the blazer. One part during the tea was really funny. My fourth aunt and her husband was given big cups and had to kiss before drinking it. It’s really the highlight of the occasion. Really thank my aunt and uncle for being such a sport kissing in front of all the relatives.

Banquet starts at one thirty. Me, bro, his wife Fern, mum and dad stand outside to welcome peoples coming and my sisters and her friends being receptions bringing peoples to their table. I sat with my friends from secondary school tuition class during the banquet. The marriage is mostly related to the peoples in this class, including our teacher, Linda.

The karaoke system was fully utilised during the banquet. I did a couple of songs my self too. And all the cousins sung two songs together for the couples. So touching… During the lunch, I drink more than I eat all thanks to my friend Piao. My friend had to drive my home after the banquet. And I was flat on the bed till night time.

Today after flying back went Zenith training at night. And supper with Teck and Jack was great.

Busy day tomorrow. Netballing

The world is coming Singapore in 2011. I’m excited. Are you???

Life is all netball for me now. Coaching, umpiring, and sometimes playing.

I was asked this question many times. Now still is. Why netball? Isn’t it a girl’s sport? I usually give my answer by starting ‘Why not?’ After some explanations the person usually got the idea why. ‘Passion’

I was happy that the other day, a boy from the primary school I coach ask me this question. I gave my answer and it sparks some interest on him to pick up netball. But sadly, there’s no tournament for him to play. I’ve also told him this.

And my girls from the school pop me the question that day too, the teacher in charge asked me the week before. I can see that Singapore is actually starting to accept and it’s also getting popular among guys. But then, there is still no tournament for mens. Not even in carnivals. Only mixed. Why?

I'm tired but don't want to sleep now. Why do I torture myself???

Had less than five hours of sleep last night. Let me correct that, morning.

I can stay in Singapore for twenty two more days including today. Yes, I shall use these time wisely.

Next weekend is my brother's wedding. And I'm his bestman. What do bestman do? I have no idea. But I'm willing to do anything for my brother. I really mean anything.

Something came to my mind. Peoples say that I'm patient. Am I???
I think I'm more like slow to action. Most of the time I'll take a long time to get started on something. Is this bad? I think it is. I'm wasting lots of time to make decisions and got myself in situations neither here nor there. But I think things will ultimately work out in the end.
Damn ang mo. Fucker. Hate it...

Went NUS to play some netball after umpiring. It was lots of fun. I played centre most of the time. Tired, but really fun.

I had to wake up early tomorrow. Had been trying to wake up in the morning for the past two days but couldn't. Ahrrrr...

Few days didn't blog. Not in the mood.

Was coaching yesterday. Morning at Hougang.
Please tell me why? After so long, still can't get it right?
Defenders, please do better.

Then, went PasirRis to another school training. First time coaching primary. It's so different. Players are more discipline, but skills level is much lower. Will need more planning on it.

Today umpired at ToaPayoh for coperate league final.

Hmmm... What should I do tomorrow?
