I’m back from Malaysia. Had just come back from my brother’s wedding during the weekend today. It’s such a big occasion, bringing so many peoples together witnessing this joyous ceremony.

Touched down at Penang airport on Friday afternoon with my sisters and cousin. We had lunch at Queens Bay Mall Sakae Sushi, did some shopping and head home.

It was a busy and memorable trip filled with laughter. Reunion of family, relatives and friends. Peoples that is most important to me.

Saturday, me and my brother went to collect the wedding car and bought beverages, drinks and beers for visitors. Many distant relatives came just for the wedding today. I brought them over to the houses that had been prepared for them to spend the night. All credits to my mum cleaning and getting it ready days before. Its great being able to see them because only times like this brings peoples together. Uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. And many I don’t even know who they are and what are their names. So malu!!!

At night, we had dinner at the brides. A table was reserved for us from the groom side. Our sisters and few of our cousins came together to filled the ten seats. The banquet had to be separate because there are too many relatives and friends to be invited. We had to leave after the couple opening the champagne and toasting. It’s the customs.

After that we went home. Many of my secondary school friends are waiting for us. It has been so long since I last saw them. I think it’s about eight to ten years. It’s really fun having that reunion. Drinking, eating, chatting and joking. It brings back so many memories we had together. I love those peoples.

There are also many others at home too. My dad with his friends and uncles, cousins drinking and toasting, aunts chatting in the house, nieces, nephews and younger cousins playing. It’s such a wonderful occasion.

Sunday, wedding day. I’m the best man. We got ready, and went off to the brides at ten. Not many obstacles were put up to us. First was drinking some sour drinks. Not sure what is it but taste like vinegar. Then, dancing… Pole dancing, lucky I was the pole. And finally, singing. All of us sung together and my brother sung the ending part. Heng!!! Cause we are rushing and had to be at the restaurant at one for the banquet. Didn’t really get to talk to the brides mate cause we’re busy doing our job. Haiz…

Anyway, we manage to get the ceremony at the brides side done at eleven plus. Must thank Ah Young my cousin for keeping the ang pao and marking on it. Then back to our side, repeating the ceremony again. Praying and giving teas to elders. So many uncles, aunts and cousins. I’m all wet inside because of the blazer. One part during the tea was really funny. My fourth aunt and her husband was given big cups and had to kiss before drinking it. It’s really the highlight of the occasion. Really thank my aunt and uncle for being such a sport kissing in front of all the relatives.

Banquet starts at one thirty. Me, bro, his wife Fern, mum and dad stand outside to welcome peoples coming and my sisters and her friends being receptions bringing peoples to their table. I sat with my friends from secondary school tuition class during the banquet. The marriage is mostly related to the peoples in this class, including our teacher, Linda.

The karaoke system was fully utilised during the banquet. I did a couple of songs my self too. And all the cousins sung two songs together for the couples. So touching… During the lunch, I drink more than I eat all thanks to my friend Piao. My friend had to drive my home after the banquet. And I was flat on the bed till night time.

Today after flying back went Zenith training at night. And supper with Teck and Jack was great.

Busy day tomorrow. Netballing
