My Story

Wasn’t feel like sleeping yet so putting up another post. What should I write? Hmmm…

Maybe something about my past. As most of you know, I’m a Malaysian. I was born at a place with a leaning clock tower. Not sure if it is still standing now. That place has superb ChuCheongFun. I really miss it.
My childhood was spent at a provision shop where family runs it. As all kids do, I ran around with my brother everyday during those times. But most of the times we have to be kept out of the shop cause my dad and grandpa has to do business. So, we played with the coffee shop kids next door sometimes at their house sometimes at ours. And sometimes my mum will bring us to the jetty nearby in the evening and also to play at the playground there.
When I was five, we moved to a larger town because my uncle had set up a factory and my dad help him run the factory together there. We went to kindergarten and we were still as playful as before. My mother will have to chase us to give us food everyday. But still, we scored more than ninety for tests every time. If I didn’t remember wrongly. And in the evening, we would go fly kite and play with the neighbours. Grandpa was with us then. He sat on the couch at the living room everyday and would drink stout. And sometimes, he would give us some too. Haha!
We moved again when I’m starting my primary school. This time we moved back to the place I spend my first five years. But this time, my dad started a hardware shop. Our home is nearby the shop walking distance away. Everyday, I, my brother and my sis would walk to school together. And after school, we will spend our time at the shop before going home together with mum. My grandpa stays at the shop all the time even at night. All of us in the family will have lunch at the shop together after school. And in the evening, my mum will usually send food over to the shop for dad and grandpa. Sometimes, we will go together if we are not busy playing. Now, our usual past time would be fishing at the river in front of our house. Sometimes play with the leaves and branches around. Catching grasshoppers was part of our routine games too. After that, we moved from our kampong house to a terrace house further away like for only one year if I didn’t remember wrongly.
One day, my grandpa past away at the shop in his sleep. I think he was in his seventies. All the adults were pretty sad except us kids. Now that I think of it, I really miss him. Although he look very serious with his looks without a smile all the time, but he would play with us whenever we go to him. Oh ya, why do I use the word we all the time. Cause I’m always with my brother. We were like glued together since birth. And even before, with the nine months together in my mother’s womb. I miss him so so much now, having our different lives so far apart.
After my grandpa’s death, we’ve moved back to help my uncle with his expanding factory. I was primary four then. In that year, when lives are just getting better, my uncle was murdered. The murderer was never found. And the company has to be close down with the absence of my uncle. With the lost of a big customer, my dad set up a company to continue the business in a much smaller scale. I’ve spend the remanding of my primary and also my secondary school at that town. We’ve moved again but in the same town during my secondary school time.

Woow! Look at the time, it’s already two plus. Gotta catch some sleep for work tomorrow. Continue the story next time.
